The iPhone 14 series is expected to launch around September of this year. But this news may make you worry!
All eyes are on the Apple iPhone 14 launch this year! Arguing on the basis of previous iPhone launches over the years, Apple is expected to bring the iPhone 14 series in the month of September, most probably on 13th (Tuesday). Though Apple is quite silent, the latest report has revealed worrying news for iPhone fans! As per the latest tweet by Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), there might be a delay in panel shipments of the new iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Max is part of the iPhone 14 series at the cost of iPhone 14 mini, which has been dropped this year. Now, it seems there is trouble in store for this big-screen iPhone as well as Pro Max.
“Looks like iPhone 14 Max and Pro Max panel shipments are a month behind the 14 and 14 Pro. The panel shipments for the larger models are starting in July vs. June for the smaller models,” Young’s tweet reads. Usually, the new iPhones are available for purchase after the two weeks of the official launch but this may not be the case with these larger display iPhones. While other two expected models – iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will soon be available for purchase after the launch. Is iPhone 14 launch POSTPONED?
Undoubtedly, the news seems worrying for the Apple fans as they will have to be a little more patient with iPhone 14 Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, as they may hit the shelves a few weeks after the other two models. But the relief is that there won’t be any delay in the launch of the iPhone 14 series! Ross Young’s tweet further confirmed, “Not expecting any delays at the launch at this point though.” All the four models of the iPhone 14 series are expected to make their debut during the fall event of Apple in and around September and if all things go well, the phones will start shipping a fortnight later. iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max may require another 2 weeks time if supply chain issues continue to hound them. The only delay, if there is any, will be in the shipments of these iPhones.
The delay may well have something to do with the extended lockdowns in China due to the rise in COVID-19 cases.
